Company Profile

Hallmark Saddery & Harness is a small family operated business.  We are proud to have been supplying customers world wide with quality hand crafted western saddles, tack and harness for over 20 years.

Hallmark Saddlery & Harness began operations in 1979 as a small leathercraft and trophy store, operating as Trophy/Leather Works.  In 1982 owner/manager Douglas Hall began a 14 year apprenticeship under the direction of master saddle crafter Don Baird (1915-1997).  Don's impressive experience included working for with such notable saddle companies as Great West, Adams, Kenway, Riley McCormick,  Western Rawhide, and Eamor's Saddlery.

In 1991 the business name was changed to encompass new ventures into custom crafting horse and mule harness.  In 1992, Hallmark Saddlery & Harness was awarded the opportunity to craft five sets of show harness for Euro-Disney of Paris, France.   This harness was designed for use in the new theme park's Wild West Show.

Hallmark Saddlery & Harness has focused on developing and marketing custom crafted saddles at affordable prices, in an attempt to meet a variety of today's horse enthusiasts needs.  Most recently, we are proud to introduce a full line of miniature horse tack and harness.

Hallmark Saddlery & Harness is located in the small community of Cardston, Alberta.   Cardston is nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, and is surrounded by some of Canada's best farming and ranching territory.
